Archiving the future
Speculative design proposal for an exhibition catalogue and a series of posters, The Past Present, in year 2114, presenting more than 250 everyday household objects from year 2014 as obsolete.
Imagine them as never seen by your generation before. It's year 2114!
The project involved field research, image editing, trend forecasting and production of a 200+ pages publication categorising and describing large amount of objects.
The catalogue was made as a publication proposal for the Swedish History Museum in Stockholm. They never replied (ouch!) leaving this project in category “just for fun” but was a great learning in forecasting the future as well as how to categorise and present a great amount of content.
